Representative Rangel and Waters

Our Brother and Sister are being Attacked!

If you want to talk about ethic violations, let’s talk about the numerous criminal acts from the Bush Administration as well as the present day Obama administration. Oh and let’s not forget about the many unethical acts for our government as a whole since conception! These guys are a bunch of frauds and crooks. They are steadily chipping away at our nation and are doing everything they can to get rid of our leaders. We must support Congressman Rangel as well as Congresswoman Maxine Waters who have given their lives to serve our community. Unfortunately they are being targeted because they serve us so we must not abandon our family in their time of need!

Rangel Convicted Of Ethics Violations, Censure recommended

C-Span Reports

The House Ethics Committee voted on Thursday to censure veteran New York Congressman Charles Rangel (D), after being convicted of 11 ethics violations. The matter now moves to the full U.S. House of Representatives to consider the censure measure after Thanksgiving.

The 11 charges against Rangel are from four allegations, principally that he failed to pay federal taxes on his beach house rental income and that he used his congressional office to solicit donations for an educational center bearing his name.

If the committee’s recommended censure is approved by the House, Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) would give a verbal rebuke while Rep. Rangel stands before his colleagues.

The Congressman has been vocal in his disapproval of the proceedings. On Monday, he left the inquiry early after making a request to delay the hearing until he could hire a lawyer, which the Subcommittee later denied. Following Thursday’s conviction, Rep. Rangel issued a statement calling on the House for “fairness and mercy” in their choice of sanctions.

On Friday it was announced that the November 29th Ethics Committee inquiry regarding alleged ethics violations by Rep. Maxine Waters (D-CA)has been postponed. Waters has been accused of using her committee influence to help direct $12 million of the Treasury’s Troubled Asset Relief Program (TARP) to a bank that her husband had financial ties.
